New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 2800 block of Danneel Street.
Police say shortly before 3 p.m. Monday, officers were sent to investigate a call of shots fired in that location.
"Responding officers found the adult male victim on the ground, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds," said police in a statement. "New Orleans EMS transported the victim to hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased."
