Jefferson Parish sheriff’s deputies are investigating an ATV crash that left one person dead.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. on Jean Lafitte Boulevard near Charles Street in Lafitte.
A sheriff’s office spokesperson says deputies found the victim, an adult male, suffering from multiple injuries after crashing his ATV. Investigators say the man was thrown from the ATV after he ran off the road while trying to make a turn. The man died at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the man’s name pending notification of his family.
