New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 12000 block of the I-10 service road in New Orleans East, off of Bullard Avenue.
Police say shortly before 5 a.m. Saturday, officers were sent to investigate a call of a man shot in that location.
"At about 4:51 a.m., NOPD Seventh District officers responded to reports of a male shot at location suffering from multiple gunshot wounds," said police in a statement. "The victim was transported to a local hospital via NOEMS where he later was declared deceased."

Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
