The NOPD is investigating a shooting in the 6200 block of Dorothea Street in the Pines Village area near the Lakefront Airport.
Initial reports from police show one adult male arrived at the hospital by private conveyance after sustaining a gunshot wound. The victim’s condition is unknown.

According to New Orleans City Council’s Crime Dashboard, the Pines Village neighborhood has had 8 non-fatal shootings this year, an increase of 33% while armed robberies are up 125% in the area over last year.
