Kenner Police say a Metairie man forced his girlfriend at gunpoint to take him to several ATMs and withdraw money, until her account was finally locked.

According to police, 24-year-old Reginald White got into an argument with his girlfriend. During the argument Wednesday, they say he armed himself, and forced the woman against her will to drive him to several nearby ATMs to get money.

After getting the money, police say White drove the victim back to her house, kicked her out of the car, then fled.

Kenner Police spotted the vehicle around 9 p.m. that night on 33rd Street and attempted to pull it over. Cops say that is when White led them on a chase ending at West Metairie and North Lester in Metairie. Police say during the pursuit, a gun was thrown from the car, which police recovered.

At the end of the chase, police say White and another person in the car fled on foot. Cops quickly apprehended White, but the other person escaped. Their identity is unknown.

Police say they found nearly six-and-a-half grams of marijuana on White, along with the victim's ATM card.

White was booked on four counts of armed robbery and aggravated kidnapping, as well as felon in possession of a firearm and numerous other charges.

Kenner Police ask that anyone with information on who was in the car with White during the chase, or other information about this crime, to call the Kenner Police Department at (504) 712-2222 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111 or toll free at (877) 903-7867 (STOP).
