Members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating the Homicide of a 51-year-old man. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family members.
The offense occurred shortly before 12:00 A.M., on St. Roch Avenue near Treasure Street near the I-10-610 merge.
According to investigators, Third District officers received a call of a man shot and upon their arrival, officers found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his body.
Emergency Medical Technicians were summoned to the scene where they pronounced the victim dead.
