The Kenner Police Department is investigating a body found floating in a canal in the Kenner subdivision of Lincoln Manor.
“On July 5, 2022, at 4:00 PM, a Kenner Officer, who was conducting follow-up on a report of an earlier missing person observed what appeared to be a body floating in the canal,” says the police department.
The body has been identified as Ida Clouden, 83, who was reported missing by her son earlier on Tuesday morning.
Investigators say Clouden was a long-time resident of the Lincoln Manor subdivision and was known to wander off from her residence. She had been reported missing by her son on several prior occasions police say.
Investigators say they are reviewing video surveillance of the area where she went into the canal and there does not appear to be any foul play involved.
The investigation is ongoing.
