A Florida man is dead after a weekend crash in St. Tammany Parish.
According to state troopers, that crash happened around 3:15 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 12 near the Madisonville/Goodbee exit.
Investigators say Silver Angel, 37, of St. Petersburg, Florida, was driving westbound when a Jeep veered into his lane and hit him. That impact sent the Jeep crashing into a cable barrier in the median and caused Angel’s car to crash into an eighteen-wheeler parked on the shoulder.
Angel died at the scene. The drivers of the Jeep and the eighteen-wheeler were not injured. Each of the drivers was wearing a seatbelt.
Charges are pending the completion of the investigation.
