New details in the arrest of a naked man arrested for a murder in the Holy Cross neighborhood.
Adam Belanouane is on suicide watch pending a psychiatric evaluation. He made his first court appearance on Friday and is expected to make a second court appearance after undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.
Belanouane is accused of killing his roommate. Police say they found hime walking through the Holy Cross neighborhood wearing only a hard hat when they arrived on scene Thursday morning.
According to investigators, Belanouane was suspicious that his girlfriend had been cheating on him. According to our partners at WWL-TV, investigators say Belanouane told them he "crazy" and that he "has been going through a lot in his life."
The case remains under investigation.
