The threat of severe thunderstorms and heavy rain in New Orleans is forcing city officials to allow neutral ground parking into Friday night.
According to an email blast by NOLA Ready, neutral ground parking will be allowed until 9 p.m. Friday. Drivers may not block intersections, streetcar tracks, sidewalks, or bike paths when parking in the neutral ground.
City officials say today's heavy rains could cause street flooding in low-lying areas.
