It's a big weekend for the Crescent City -- the biggest event isn't even taking place in New Orleans or even this country.
That is, of course, the New Orleans Saints taking part in the first NFL regular season game in France.
Kelly Schulz with New Orleans & Company says they are taking full advantage.
"Our CEO is actually there, along with other officials from the state, and they're using the game as a way to meet with our customers, to meet with journalists who are based in France, to meet with those customers who can influence a lot of decision on where French travelers and travelers throughout Europe are going to be traveling," said Schulz.
Meanwhile, among events in New Orleans this weekend is the Krewe of Boo. Schulz says there will be some special guests.
"New Orleans & Company is hosting several international journalists in our city, and one of the things they're going to do is ride in Krewe of Boo," she said.
She said giving them a Mardi Gras-like experience to write home about will be the kind of publicity you can't buy.
