The city of New Orleans declared Tuesday afternoon that parking on neutral grounds will be allowed through 9 p.m. Tuesday.
"Heavy rain could cause street flooding in low-lying areas," the city announced early Tuesday afternoon. "Neutral ground parking allowed until 6 pm."
The city extended it to 9 p.m. later in the afternoon.
Residents can check for reports of street flooding at streetwise.nola.gov.
