Authorities say a burglar put on a bright wig and made off with a lot of stolen property from a home near the corner of Magazine and Terpsichore Street.
"The New Orleans Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect," NOPD released.
It happened early Sunday morning in the 1100 block of Terpsichore.
"According to investigators, on September 6, 2026, at approximately 12:45 a.m., the pictured suspect entered the victim’s residence and stole approximately $18,000 worth of property, including jewelry, credit cards and other personal items."
Detectives hope someone remembers seeing the suspect's distinct hair piece.
"The suspect was observed wearing an orange-colored wig at the time of the incident."
