Newell: With Kamala it’ll be more of the same at the border

As Vice President Kamala Harris continues to roll out her policy plans for a potential Presidency, one area she reportedly will stay the course is the nation’s response to immigration at the southern border.

But WWL’s Newell Normand believes that sticking with President Joe Biden’s current policies would be folly.

“The Harris election committee is saying that we can expect that a lot of what was done by the Biden administration relative to immigration would be continued by that administration if she were to win,” Normand said on the Monday edition of his show. “That’s certainly not a rosy picture to look forward to because it’s nothing but confusion.”

Normand said Biden’s policies have led to an increase in undocumented people being snuck across the border.

“The only people that actually have fared out incredibly well throughout this entire process have been human smuggling,” he said. “They’re getting anywhere from $5,000 to $60,000 for smuggling people across the U.S.
border and are getting stronger and stronger and stronger now. We’re getting weaker and weaker with every crazy program that’s implemented by the immigration department of Homeland Security.”
