The NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad and the U.S. Marshals arrested Joshua M.
Blancher for an alleged homicide on that happened on July 11, in the 1800 block of Saint Anthony Street.
“At about 5:40 p.m., NOPD First District officers responded to a call of a female victim shot at the location. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS,” the NOPD said in a report.
The NOPD VOWS and U.S. Marshals found Blancher in a parking lot on Canal Street on Thursday and arrested him.
He was booked with second-degree murder and with outstanding warrants for an aggravated-battery charge that happened on Mandeville Street in St. Roch.
