The New Orleans Police Department today announced it has made secured arrest warrants for five suspects after last weekend's rash of illegal street stunt shows across New Orleans.
NOPD Superintendent Shaun Ferguson said the five include a mix of adults and juveniles from the New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas.
Charges include criminal damage to property, simple assault, disturbing the peace, rioting, and aggravated obstruction of a highway in commerce. The chief said that last charge carries serious jail time.
"That carries up to 15 years jail," said Ferguson. "So we are no longer talking about reckless operation or careless operation. We are going as far as we can go."
Ferguson said he is also in talks with the U.S. Attorney's office to see if any federal charges can be applied.

The wanted adults were identified as 21-year-old Tyler McKinley (right) and 26 year old Eduardo Gomez, both of New Orleans. The teens include a 16-year-old from Denham Springs, a 16-year-old from Kenner, and a 17-year-old from Metairie.
