A 38-year-old man is accused of two shootings hours apart near the New Orleans Fairgrounds on Tuesday.
The New Orleans Police Department says Lance Daniel Dodd shot and killed a man in the afternoon. Police were called to the 3000 block of Belfort Street, just off Gentilly Boulevard, where they found a man sitting in a white SUV suffering from a gunshot wound.

According to investigators, Dodd was also responsible for a shooting that happened a few hours earlier, just a few blocks away in the 3200 block of Trafalgar Street.
The case remains under investigation.
