New Orleans Police arrested two looting suspects as Hurricane Zeta had most people sheltering in their homes.
Dmitri Vychko, 49, was booked into Orleans Parish Prison on a charge of looting. Police also arrested 32-year-old Rhiannon Johnson.
According to The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate, police report catching Vychko and Johnson walking away from a Dollar General on Old Gentilly Road Wednesday around 9:20 p.m., with goods from the store on them.
Looting, defined as burglary when a state of emergency, such as a hurricane, has been declared, carries a minimum three years in jail and a maximum of 15 years.
