New Orleans police responded to a call of shots fired in the 6800 block of Mayo Boulevard. The call was received around 5:37 a.m.
according police.
When responding officers arrived, they discovered an unresponsive adult male victim laying in the street suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim died at the scene.
Investigators are also working two other shootings which happened less than an hour apart.
The first incident, reported around 11:37 p.m., happened near the intersection of Benefit and Alvar Streets. An adult female victim was shot.
The second incident, reported around 12:09 a.m., happened in the 1400 block of Jourdan Avenue. An adult male was also shot.
