New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a homicide near the intersection of Jackson and Baronne streets.
Police say shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday, officers were sent to investigate an incident in that location.
"Initial reports show a male victim who (was) declared deceased at the scene," said police.
No further details immediately available.
It was the second fatality within hours Saturday evening. Around 8 p.m., police were on the scene of an infant killed in the Seventh Ward.
