A woman in the Irish channel had her purse stolen in what appears to be a drive-by purse snatching.
The New Orleans Police Department reports it happened at around 11:40 a.m. in the 3100 block Laurel Street.
The report says a 37-year-old woman was riding her bicycle when a vehicle approached the woman and an unknown male suspect inside the vehicle forcibly removed the woman’s purse from her shoulder then drove off.
Police did not yet release details on the vehicle or possible suspects as the investigation is ongoing.
