New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 5100 block of Gen. De Gaulle Drive.
Police say shortly before 5:30 p.m. Friday, officers were sent to investigate a call of shooting in that location.
"Upon arrival, officers located a 28-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds," said police in a statement. "The victim was transported via EMS to a local hospital, where he was later declared deceased."
