New Orleans police say they are continuing to search for pieces of the training airplane that crashed into Lake Pontchartrain last week.
Searchers found more pieces of the aircraft in the lake on Saturday, but weather conditions forced authorities to call off the search until conditions allow them to work safely.
NOPD officials described the effort as a "recovery mission, not a search."
Two pilots, an instructor and a trainee, were on board the plane when it crashed into Lake Pontchartrain about four miles north of the Lakefront Airport on Monday.
