A New Orleans Police officer faces drug and weapons charges after a joint NOPD-FBI investigation led to his arrest.
Police say Reginald Koeller was booked today on charges of possession with intent to distribute crack and illegal carrying of a weapon while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Koeller is an 18-year veteran of the NOPD most recently assigned to the 4th District, which patrols Algiers.
NOPD placed Koeller on emergency suspension without pay pending the outcome of the ongoing federal investigation.
