The three New Orleans Police officers who returned fire when Shamsud-din Jabbar began shooting after crashing a rented pickup truck on Bourbon St. early New Year's morning were honored in Houston as the Texans hosted the Los Angeles Charges in Saturday's AFC Wild Card game.
Sgt. Nigel Daggs and Officers Christian Beyer and Jacobie Jordan were on the field to receive custom jerseys from the Texans.
"Today we recognize three heroic New Orleans police officers who were among the first responders on the scene during the New Orleans tragedy on New Year’s Day," the Texans posted on X.
The officer's gunfire ended Jabbar's life and his deadly rampage on Bourbon St. that took 14 lives.
