Two New Orleans teens are recovering after police say they were shot in the Lower Ninth Ward late Friday night.
The shooting happened before 11 p.m. Friday on Benton Street near North Tonti.
Police say the victims, an 18-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy, were inside a home when they heard shots being fired in the backyard. The shots then came through a window, grazing the 18-year-old in his foot and striking the 17-year-old in the leg and in the buttocks. Both victims then drove themselves to a hospital to seek treatment. They are listed as stable.
ccording to investigators, they learned about the shooting after the victims went to a hospital to seek treatment. The case remains under investigation.
