St. Tammany Parish jail booking record show that the principal and assistant principal at E.E. Lyon Elementary School in Covington face criminal charges.
Principal Lauryn Faciane (left) was booked for alleged “ABUSE OF CHILDREN” and “CHILD ABUSE.”
Assistant Principal Tonya Barth (right) was booked on charges including “ABUSE OF CHILDREN,” according to jail records. The school’s website spells Barth’s first name as “Tonya” while the jail records have it spelled “Tanya”.
Neither police nor school authorities have made any public statements on the arrests.
Bond for both women was set at $5000.
