The Orleans Parish Sheriff’s off says an off-duty deputy was the victim of a carjacking overnight in her personal vehicle.
It happened just after midnight Friday near I-610 and Franklin Avenue.
The deputy was not injured. The vehicle and the deputy’s weapon, which was inside the vehicle were both stolen in the incident. The New Orleans Police Department is investigating.
