An early-morning shooting in Harvey has left a man dead and Jefferson Parish sheriff's deputies searching for clues.
That shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. Friday on Lac Du Bay Drive near Lac La Belle Drive, a few blocks off of Manhattan Boulevard just north of the canal.
According to Sheriff Joe Lopinto, deputies found the wounded victim inside a home when they arrived on scene. EMS crews took the victim to a hospital, where he later died. So far, police have not developed any suspects or motives.
