Three shootings in New Orleans on Sunday left a total of three people wounded, one of them mortally.
The first shooting happened around 7:40 p.m. on Toledano Street near South Johnson Street on the edge of the Hoffman Triangle. According to a New Orleans Police Department spokesperson, officers found a man suffering from a knee wound when they arrived on scene. An EMS crew took that victim to the hospital.
The second shooting happened in New Orleans East on Dwyer Road near Read Boulevard. Police say they were notified of the shooting around 8 p.m. after the victim arrived at the hospital with a leg wound. A spokesperson says investigators are working to learn more about this case.
The third and final shooting happened around 9:40 p.m. in the Upper Ninth Ward on Ursula Spencer Way near Betty Parker Place. An NOPD spokesperson says officers found who had been shot to death when they arrived on scene. Police have not released any details about the victim.
