Officials with St. Charles Parish Emergency Operations Center say a train carrying a crane pulled down powerlines in Boutte.
As a result, a Boutte sewerage lift station lost power affecting sewerage service to more than 200 residents in the area. Parish officials urge residents in Boutte, Paradis, Des Allemands, and Bayou Gauche to conserve their sewerage usage as to not overload the sewerage system.
