Your power may be back on, but work on the power gird is far from over.

"We just had a Category 4 come through our service territory," said Entergy Vice President of Distribution Operations John Hawkins. "Our system will be very fragile for the immediate future."

Entergy CEO Philip May says restoration crews were concentrating on getting as many people re-connected as quickly as possible, and that means some systems could be temporarily jury-rigged.

"John and his team are going to put things together maybe in an abnormal configuration," May explained.

So there is still some work done on the grid, straightening and shoring up leaning poles and clearing vegetation.

"We will continue, unfortunately, to see some outages," said Hawkins, as work continues to repair Hurricane Ida's damage.
