There has been another jail stabbing in New Orleans. WWL-TV reports Sheriff Susan Hutson's office confirms the incident that happened this week.
No other details were released, but a sheriff's office spokesman says they will be publicizing more information.
It is the latest violent incident in a jail plagued with them. There were four stabbings in eight days spanning late July and early August.
There were multiple violent incidents in June that resulted in two deaths that led to Sheriff Hutson pulling deputies from courthouse duty, bringing legal proceedings at Tulane and Broad to a screeching halt.
Then there was a non-violent protest in one of the jails maximum-security pods when inmates refused to go into lockdown. That ended after a joint operation with the Louisiana Department of Corrections, and the arrest of six inmates who were moved to a different facility.
