Crimestoppers GNO

Local and federal law enforcement officials are offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a man wanted in connection with the ambush on an undercover ATF agent earlier this week.

According to investigators, Michael Lott, 49, took part in the armed robbery of that agent Wednesday afternoon. The agent was working a drug case at an Algiers apartment when several people rushed him and tried to rob him at gunpoint. During the rescue attempt, an ATF agent fell three stories from the apartment. That agent was taken to the hospital. His condition has not been disclosed.

Crimestoppers of New Orleans says tipsters must contact them directly by phone or internet to be eligible for the reward. That reward will be paid half on arrest and half on indictment. All tipsters will remain anonymous.

If you have any information about Lott's whereabouts, call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or go to crimestoppersgno.org.
