A man is dead after being shot numerous times.
Third District officers responded to a report of gunfire near the intersection of Sere and Buchanan Streets around 10:45pm.
They arrived to find the victim down near the intersection of Alfred and Sere suffering from numerous gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a local hospital by EMS where they later died of their wounds.
Homicide investigators have taken over the case and are searching for clues or witnesses.
There is no motive known at this time.
