New Orleans Police SWAT surrounded a house in New Orleans East this afternoon, in the 7700 block of Alabama Street, just blocks away from Lakefront Airport.
Police say a subject is barricaded inside a residence, and shot at officers, but missed.
One woman was taken from the scene by ambulance for what NOPD described as "a non-gunshot related injury."
Police are asking residents to avoid that area until the situation is resolved.
