Northshore leaders are working to determine the full extent of damage from Wednesday's tornado and severe weather in and around Slidell.
"Citizens who experienced damage as a result of today’s weather should email damage@stpgov.org with their information," St. Tammany Parish Government Director of Public Information Michael Vinsanau said in an email.
He says the scores of people displaced as a result of damage to their homes are welcome to spend the night in a shelter.
"One shelter remains open at Creekside Junior High in Pearl River," Vinsanau said.
As of 8:30pm, eight people were there.
