It's only May, and already, the Smoothie King Center's events calendar for next year is filling up. The concert booking team for the arena and the Superdome continues to keep itself very busy.
"For the '23-'24 fiscal year, we're already at 28 confirmed events on the campus," said Gus Canazio, director of programming with ASM New Orleans, the company that manages the Superdome and Smoothie King Center.
Canazio says 24 of the 28 will be at the Smoothie King Center, with a mix of performers from rock to urban to Latin.
Between now and the end of this year, there are 30 shows lined up, and next year's bookings extend well into March.
"So, it's only April and we're already at 28, which is fantastic," Canazio said. "We'll be very busy next year."
Despite missing out on Taylor Swift's Eras tour, Beyoncé is booked for the Superdome in the fall, and despite a change to Drake's tour schedule, he's still coming to the Smoothie King Center.
