Two adult teens booked in the death of a French Quarter tour guide Sunday say their 15-year-old alleged accomplice was the one who pulled the trigger. And that 15-year-old has been in and out of juvenile lockup a number of times, WWL-TV reports.
According to records obtained by the TV station, the 15-year-old has been in juvenile lockup five times for a series of crimes.
Most recently, the juvenile was released from custody May 21 after being convicted of domestic abuse battery, illegal possession of a handgun and seven counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.
Wednesday, prosecutors sought to have the suspect transferred to face charges as an adult. That hearing has been postponed to august 27.
Meanwhile, 19-year-old Joshua Bonifacio and 17-year-old Jerben Albarec are each being held on $1.1 million bail.
