A teenager is in critical condition after a crash on his mini-bike Thursday evening near Slidell, authorities say.
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office says the 13-year-old failed to obey a stop sign at Admiral Nelson Dr. and Dunkirk St., crashing into the side of a vehicle.
Deputies say the child was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
