Police in New Orleans are investigating a homicide in the 1200 block of North Claiborne Avenue. An initial NOPD report says, "First District officers responded to reports of an aggravated battery by shooting right after 11 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered one adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS."
The second shooting happened in the 12000 block of North I-10 Service Road. NOPD reported the shooting at 2:47 a.m. Monday morning. Authorities say one adult male sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS. At this time, there are no further details available.
