
A man is accused of killing two people and injuring two others in a violent machete attack in LaPlace.
As The Times Picayune | New Orleans Advocate reports, 23-year old, Oscar Urias, allegedly killed one person and injured two other people at a home in the 2400 block of North Sugar Ridge Drive, Sunday evening.
Urias allegedly chased down his fourth victim, a 15-year-old girl trying to flee the attack, and killed her with the machete in the street according to the paper.
Deputies arrested Urias shortly after killing the teen. He was arrested and booked with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
It is unclear if the victims are related to Urais. St. John the Baptist Sheriff, Mike Tregre says investigators are working to find out what led to the violent attack.
