Manresa House of Retreats in Convent Louisiana will not have retreats anytime soon after ‘a number of’ COVID-19 positive cases break out at the secluded retreat house Nola.com reports.

The director of the 130-acre retreat facility, Tim Murphy, says the Louisiana Department of Health was notified and suspended all operations. None of Manresa’s employees tested positive the news outlet reports. It is unclear how many visitors of a recent men’s retreat tested positive.

The retreat house will remain closed until the health department can put in place COVID protocols.

Meanwhile, the overnight retreat house, Camp Abbey in Covington closed temporarily and more than 200 campers were sent home after two cases of COVID and a stomach virus infected campers according to the Archdiocese of New Orleans.

"After about two dozen campers at Camp Abbey presented with symptoms of a stomach bug in a 24-hour period, the leadership of Camp Abbey made the decision to close this week of girls' camp one day early out of an abundance of caution and out of concern for the health and safety of all campers and camp staff," spokeswoman Sarah McDonald said Friday in a written statement.
