Donald Trump announced the U.S. bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, marking the first time the United States has issued a direct attack on Iran.

"We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan," Trump wrote in a Truth Social Post.0" All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter."

On June 13th, Israel conducted sweeping airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities. However, attacks did not target the location in Fordow, Iran's most advanced facility built inside a mountain. It's believed the only bomb with the capacity to destroy it was the 30,000-pound GBU-57 series MOP, also known as the U.S.' "bunker-buster" bomb.

As Trump mulled options, his own base fractured over the idea of Middle East escalation. High-profile conservatives from Tucker Carlson to Charlie Kirk have spoken out against the President's openness to engage Iran.
