A former Washington Parish schoolteacher is facing multiple sexual abuse charges, including carnal knowledge, indecent behavior, and child porn charges.
Franklinton police arrested 29-year-old Darbie Collete Smith on Friday. According to District Attorney Colin Sims, Smith had been under investigation for four months.
Neither Sims nor Franklinton Police Chief Justin Brown provided further details about the case.
