A white hearse arrives from Houston with the body of fallen NOPD Det. Everett Briscoe.
Briscoe’s body arrived at Professional Funeral Services in New Orleans via police escort from Houston Tuesday afternoon.
Briscoe’s family, along with fellow Zulu members and the community, joined NOPD officers, Sheriff’s deputies, and city officials including Superintendent Shaun Ferguson, Mayor LaToya Cantrell and City Councilman Jay Banks.
Two gunmen gunned down Briscoe and a fellow Zulu member as they sat outside a Houston restaurant Saturday.
