Slidell Police arrested a man after an early morning shooting sent a woman to the hospital in critical condition.
Police say the shooting happened shortly after 2:00 a.m. Saturday at the Stone Creek apartments at 400 Joseph St.
"When officers arrived, they located a female victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds," said Daniel Seuzeneau with Slidell Police.
Police identified the suspect as 43-year-old Calvin Brown III of Slidell and arrested him this afternoon.
"Brown is currently being held at the Slidell City Jail and is facing one count of Attempted Second Degree Murder," Seuzeneau said. "The motive of the shooting is presumably domestic related."
The case remains under investigation and additional charges may be filed at a later date.
