New Orleans Police say violence didn't take a holiday for Thanksgiving.
"The NOPD is investigating a shooting death in the 4100 block of North Robertson," the Public Information Office said.
The call came in just before 8:00pm.
"Investigation shows a female was found on the ground with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS."
About two hours earlier a man was shot.
"The NOPD is investigating a shooting in the 3000 block of Marais Street. Initial reports show a male victim sustained gunshot wounds to his body."
Someone drove the victim to the hospital.
No word on his condition.
