A woman was shot early this morning near the intersection of Tulane Avenue and South Norman C. Francis Parkway.
NOPD learned of the incident just before 4am and arrived on scene some thirty minutes later.
EMS transported the injured woman to a local hospital for treatment.
There is no word on her condition or other information available at this time.
