WWL is proud to be honored with two regional Edward R. Murrow awards.
The WWL news team won “Breaking News Coverage” for their continuing coverage during Hurricane Zeta and “Newscast.”
"WWL has a history of excellence; a heritage based on a deeply rooted connection to home—Greater New Orleans, our state, the Southeast Region. It’s an honor to receive these Edward R. Murrow awards," said Diane Newman, WWL Brand Manager.
"They reflect hard work, dedication, love of community, and a commitment to excellence from a team of people who often put community before themselves. It’s one thing to cover a big story like a hurricane; it’s another to do so while you’re experiencing it yourself…during a pandemic. I’m so proud of our team. We’re so honored to serve.”
